Department of Public Health Dentistry The Department of Public Health Dentistry at Subbaiah Institute of Dental Sciences (SIDS) plays a pivotal role in promoting community-oriented dental education, preventive oral healthcare, and outreach services. The department is committed to improving oral health among rural and underserved populations through education, prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment initiatives. The department actively participates in community-based oral health programs that align with the institution's mission of creating awareness about oral hygiene, preventing oral diseases, and ensuring access to quality dental care for all sections of society. Primary Health Centre (PHC) Outreach Programs To extend oral healthcare services to the community, the department collaborates with two Primary Health Centres: Mydololu PHC, Donabagatta PHC Village Adoption Program – Komminal As part of its commitment to community service, SIDS has adopted Komminal Village to strengthen oral healthcare delivery at the grassroots level. This initiative reflects the institution’s dedication to addressing the oral health needs of rural populations and fostering sustainable community development. School Oral Health Programs The Department of Public Health Dentistry has adopted two schools under its preventive dentistry initiative. These school-based programs help instill lifelong oral health habits and contribute to the overall well-being of children and the community.
